Student University Registrar’s Office

The Registrar’s Office maintains student records and provides official documentation on requests for both students and alumni.

Order a replacement for a lost or damaged Student Card
Replacement Student Cards will be issued only to students who are fully registered for the current academic year at a charge of 500 THB.

The Registrar’s Office handles course registration. Students should register for their courses via their online student account. They will also be assisted by the HUB to ensure that their registration processes run smoothly.

M.S. Students under the Carnegie Mellon – CMKL dual-degree ECE program need to maintain their full-time status by taking at least 36 units per semester during the fall and spring semesters. Ph.D. students need to register for 36 units throughout the year. Vouchers cannot be used to drop below the full-time status.

Students under the CMKL single-degree programs are expected to take 36 units per semester to maintain full-time status. If extenuating circumstances prevent you from being a full-time student, you need to consult your academic advisor and get approval from your associate dean.

The University Registrar's Office manages the final exam schedule process for all programs. We also produce the grading timeline and are responsible for the posting of grades to the student information system.

Final Exams

The final exam days have been posted on the official academic calendar. Students should check with their course instructors for the actual exam dates and times before making travel arrangements as the exam days are subject to changes.

The final grades will be posted to the student account within 24 hours of the grade submission deadline.

Grading Policy

AiCE (Graduate Programs)

AiCE follows the following letter grade scale. The letter grade scale is ‘A’ (highest), ‘A-‘, ‘B+’, ‘B’, ‘B-‘, ‘C+’, ‘C’, ‘C-‘, ‘D+’, ‘D’, and ‘R’ (lowest). Grades lower than ‘B-’, meaning C or below, are considered failure in the AiCE doctoral program and will not count toward degree requirements. Individual instructors may decide to omit some of the intermediate grade levels (plus or minus levels).

ECE (Graduate Program)

ECE follows the following letter grade scale. The letter grade scale is 'A' (highest forstudents), 'A-', 'B+','B', 'B-', 'C+', 'C', 'C-', 'D+', 'D', and 'R' (lowest). Students cannot receivean 'A+' grade on their transcript, even if a course is taken from another college where'At' is given. Grades lower than ‘B-’, meaning C or below, are considered failure andwill not count toward degree requirements.

When students need to leave the university, either take a leave of absence temporarily or withdraw from the university permanently, they should discuss their plans with their academic advisors and complete the following steps:

1. Complete a Leave of Absence or Withdrawal Form
2. Include all signatures stated in the form
3. Send in the completed form to the University by emailing  hub@cmkl.ac.th

Hub supports graduating students with preparing for graduation and distribute diplomas to all CMKL and Carnegie Mellon - CMKL Thailand students.

Degrees are conferred by academic departments in August, December and May of each calendar year. The campus-wide Commencement Ceremony is held in May on the Pittsburgh campus or CMKL Thailand Campus.
