Manuela M. Veloso has recently joined JPMorgan as the Head of AI Research. She is on leave from Carnegie Mellon University, where is Herbert A. Simon University Professor in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, and past Head of the Machine Learning Department. She is a Past President of AAAI (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence), and the co-founder and a Past President of the RoboCup Federation. She is a fellow of AAAI, IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science), and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). She is an international expert in artificial intelligence and robotics.
