AiCE International Scholarships 2023



The Fall 2023 AiCE scholarship is now open for international students to pursue a B.Eng in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering (AiCE). The scholarship covers full tuition fees & required fees, living expenses and a one-time travel grant. Full tuition fee for B.Eng in AiCE scholarship worth up to 2.4 millions baht per award.

Our mission is to build up talented engineers & researchers readied for the next wave of digital disruption. Throughout the program, our students will explore how to apply AI techniques to major aspects of computing; including human-centric design & visualization, accelerated computing system, privacy & security. The students will learn with hands-on experience, solving real-world problems alongside our engineers & designers with our industrial partners. Technical deep-dive is also provided by working with our international teams of researchers & faculty members from leading universities.

👩🏻‍💻Candidates’ Eligibility:

You must be an international student who will be studying in Thailand on a Thai study permit.
You must be entering CMKL from a recognized secondary school or high school, or transferring from your first year at other university or equivalent.
You must demonstrate a positive attitude towards study in the AiCE program as well as excellent academic achievement in your previous education.
You must demonstrate a level of financial need; the applicants must specify their need-based financial aid through AiCE Admission Application

🏆 Awards:

Successful candidates awarded a scholarship will receive Full scholarship (Tuition & Fees) covering:

University tuitions & required fees for up to four academic years
Monthly Stipend (Living allowance) for up to four academic years
A one-time travel grant

Note: Tuition and fees are subject to change. The required fees include student activities fee, health insurance, transportation fee, and technology fee. Total amount is subject to change based on listed tuition fees for each academic year. Tuition fees may increase 3-5 percent annually. The scholarship details comply with the university rules and regulations.

📢Application Submission:

Scholarship applicants must first submit an admission application to CMKL University. Applications must be submitted through an online AiCE admission application portal before midnight, March 6, 2023.To be considered for a scholarship, the applicants must submit two additional items with their applications.

An essay (1000-1200 words), in English, on one of the following topics: What do you think is the most serious ethical challenge created by modern AI? OR What do you see as the most important benefits that modern AI can provide to society?

A three minute video self-introduction/statement of purpose.

🏫Authority

The AiCE Scholarship Committee reserves the right to review and amend/alter the criteria and procedures of the AiCE Scholarship Program at any time without prior notice. If there is any conflict/concern/issues arise in relation to this scholarship offering, However, the AiCE Scholarship Committee shall have the sole right to render decision, the decision shall be final, conclusive and non-appealable.

The AiCE Scholarship Committee reserves the right not to award scholarships if there is no qualified entries. Scholarship grants will depend upon the eligibility of applicants.

🏆Scholarship Agreement and Conditions

It is important to also note that Scholarship awardees must:

Scholarship awardees shall devote all of your time, attention, dedication, effort, and skill solely and exclusively to all courses in the AiCE Program and will not stop, abandon, quit, or any other act that in result failed to graduate within the prescribed duration, expected to graduate within 4 years or less (if possible)
Maintain an average academic rating not lower than 3.0 (with 4.0 being the highest and 1.0 the lowest) or its equivalent.
Assist faculties in research project, or perform any tasks assigned by university, within the scope of study, relevant to the degree, help to enhance first hand experience, maximum of 10 hours per week until graduated.
Well behave, exercise good common sense, conduct itself in an appropriate manner, maintain and promote the reputation of the CMKL University, shall not engage in any form of critics, defamation, cause damage, or disgrace of the CMKL University including any illegal act.
If Scholarship awardees failed to fulfil its obligation or illustrate that you may not be able to graduate or violate any law, rules or regulations of the university, or later been the University shall reserves the right to terminate the scholarship.
Understand that the scholarship may also be terminated if the authorities becomes aware of any behavior or illegal activity undertaken by the awardee before they accepted the scholarship that was not disclosed at the time of application and which would have resulted in the application being rejected had it been disclosed
