Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University

Go to Project Home Page

The Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn Univerity is using APEX cluster at CMKL under the project titled "Preventing Lai-Tai among Thais: Discovering the Genetic Causes and Treatments of Lai-Tai (Sudden Unexpected Nocturnal Death Syndrome of Brugada Syndrome," sponsored by National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). Within this project, we plan to use the cluster to analyze the whole genome sequencing (WGS) data on various aspects, e.g., genome-wide association study (GWAS), variant and structural variant (SV) detection, regulatory element analyses, etc. Besides, we are planning to use the cluster to develop AI models for various kind of predictions, e.g., classifying patients for cardiac ablation, forecasting of the readmission of patients with atrial fibrillation, etc., using various types of data, including clinical data from electronic health record, EKG, and genetic data from whole genome sequencing.
