AI Inspiration Saturday Explores the Human Side of AI-Generated Multimedia

CMKL University’s October session brought together perspectives on computer graphics, virtual humans, and storytelling to explore how AI-created content connects with human perception and creativity.

On October 24, 2026, CMKL University hosted AI Inspiration Saturday at Kloud by KBank in Siam Square under the theme “Multimedia: Creating for Human Perception.”

The session explored a question that is becoming increasingly relevant to creative work: as AI generates more visuals, characters, and written content, how do these creations connect with the people who experience them?

Two CMKL University faculty members, Dr. Pisut Wisessing and Justin Paulsen, approached this question through the complementary perspectives of computer graphics and narrative design.

Dr. Pisut Wisessing explored Computer Graphics and Virtual Humans, examining how digital visuals and virtual characters can be created with human perception in mind.

His session invited participants to consider the relationship between computer-generated content and the people viewing or interacting with it. Beyond the ability to produce images and characters, the discussion focused on how technology can support experiences shaped around the way humans perceive the world.

The topic offered a perspective for those working across design, media, games, and other creative fields where visual communication and audience experience play a central role.

Justin Paulsen approached the theme through Narrative Design, exploring how AI is changing the storytelling process.

What happens to creativity, authorship, and the distinctive voice of the person creating the work? His session brought these questions into focus, inviting participants to reflect on their own role when working with AI-generated narratives.

Alongside the visual perspective, the discussion highlighted the human decisions involved in shaping creative work: what a story communicates, how it connects with its audience, and how a creator’s perspective comes through.

Together, the two sessions encouraged participants to consider both what AI can generate and how those creations become meaningful experiences for people.

Following the talks, the AI Clinic provided an open space for participants to discuss their own projects, ideas, and creative challenges directly with CMKL faculty.

The clinic extended the conversation beyond the presentations, connecting the session’s themes with questions about participants’ own work and interests.

AI Inspiration Saturday is CMKL University’s free monthly series that brings faculty and the public together for talks, questions, and discussions about AI. The October session continued this exchange by exploring how emerging creative tools intersect with human perception, expression, and judgment.

CMKL University thanks Dr. Pisut Wisessing, Justin Paulsen, and everyone who joined the session to share questions and explore new perspectives on creating with AI.
