Student Code of Conduct

We expect students to conduct themselves considerately and without violating the rights of others. If students choose not to follow established university rules or comply with reasonable requests made by university personnel, disciplinary action may be taken. Make sure to adhere to the following rules:

1. Academic Integrity

Uphold honesty in all academic work, avoiding plagiarism, cheating, and other forms of dishonest behavior. 

2. Respectful Behavior

Treat peers, faculty, and staff with respect and courtesy. Avoid disruptive behavior in classrooms, labs, or campus activities. Respect the opinions and rights of others, promoting a healthy and inclusive environment.

3. Campus Safety

Abide by the institution's safety policies, including the prohibition of violence, harassment, and bullying. Follow health and safety protocols, including emergency procedures and use of campus facilities.

4. Use of Technology

Use the institution’s technology and internet resources responsibly. Avoid unauthorized access, cyberbullying, or misuse of CMKL devices.

5. Attendance and Participation

Regular attendance and active participation in all required academic and extracurricular activities. Notify the institution in case of absences due to illness or other legitimate reasons, following the attendance policy.

6. Substance Use

Prohibition of illegal substances, alcohol, and tobacco on campus.

7. Property and Resources (refer to Property Violation - Safety and Security session)

Respect and care for university property, including classrooms, equipment, and materials. Avoid theft, vandalism, or misuse of campus resources.

8. Consequences for Violations

Explanation of disciplinary actions for violations, such as warnings, probation, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the severity of the offense.

Property Violation - Safety and Security

1. Respect for university Property

Students are expected to take care of all university property, including classrooms, laboratories, furniture, equipment, and technology. Vandalism, defacing, or destroying school property is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.

2. Misuse of Resources

Students must follow the institution’s policies for borrowing, using, and returning university-owned resources.

3. Theft or Unauthorized Possession

Stealing or possessing stolen property, whether it belongs to the university, staff, or fellow students, is a serious violation. Students found guilty of theft will face disciplinary actions, which may include suspension, expulsion, or legal consequences.

4. Consequences for Property Violations

Explanation of disciplinary actions for violations, such as warnings, probation, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the severity of the offense. In cases of property damage, students may be required to pay for repairs or replacement costs.

Drug and Alcohol-Free Campus

CMKL University forbids students from using, being under the influence of, or having drugs or alcohol for personal use, trafficking, or selling to others on campus. Narcotics, stimulants, barbiturates, hallucinogenic drugs, marijuana, nonprescription medications, and alcohol are examples of such substances. Students who ignore this regulation will face disciplinary action from the university. Students who are suspected of drug usage may be subjected to random urine tests for drug use. If the institution judges that the student's drug use cannot be handled while attending university, the student will be requested to withdraw. Any behavior that endangers others, including purchasing and/or selling university-prohibited narcotics and substances, or delivering these substances to other members of the community, will result in withdrawal.

Use of Technology Policy - Vandalism

Any malicious attempt to harm or destroy data on another user, agency, or network connected to the system is defined as vandalism. Disrupting other people's use of the network in any way is also vandalism. Vandalism encompasses various actions such as downloading, uploading, or creating computer viruses, hacking, or intentionally altering a computer's hardware or software configuration to prevent it from functioning as intended. Students committing vandalism may lose access to the university’s technology resources, face school disciplinary action, and be reported to the police.

Dress Code 

Appropriate Attire

Students are expected to wear clothing that is neat, clean, and suitable for an academic setting.

Prohibited Clothing

Clothing displaying offensive language, images, or symbols, including those that are discriminatory, harassing, or promote illegal activities. Attire that is excessively revealing or poses safety concerns.

Responsibility for Personal Belongings

Students are responsible for their personal belongings, including electronic devices, wallets, and other valuables. The university is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

Building Hours

The university campus is accessible to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While students may access study spaces and facilities at any time, overnight stays are strongly discouraged for safety and wellbeing.

Note: University staff and services, including security and maintenance, are available only during official operating hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Students are responsible for their own safety during off-hours.

Closed Campus Policy

The university observes all official national holidays in accordance with Thai government legislation. During these public holidays, all administrative offices and services—including the CUBE Office—are closed, and routine university operations are suspended. Students are expected to plan their academic, administrative, and support service needs around these closures.

Change of Contact Information

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their personal contact information is up to date.
If you change your address, phone number, or emergency contact, you must inform the CUBE Office promptly. Accurate contact details are essential for:

  • Emergency communication
  • Academic notifications
  • Important university announcements

Failure to update your information may result in delayed or missed communications, for which the university is not responsible.
