TA/TI Registration Procedure (Graduate Programs)
Participating as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Teaching Intern (TI) is a valuable opportunity for graduate students to gain teaching experience, enhance subject mastery, and contribute to the academic community. However, participation requires formal approval and adherence to university procedures.
Eligibility & Initial Approval
Students interested in becoming a TA or TI must first consult with their academic advisor to determine eligibility and appropriateness of the role. Advisor approval is mandatory before proceeding with the application.
Step-by-Step Registration Process
- Step 1: Consultation with Academic Advisor
Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your interest in becoming a TA/TI. This conversation helps align your academic goals with the expectations of the role.
- Step 2: Request Application Form from CUBE Office
After advisor approval, contact to request the official TA/TI application form or follow this link to the application form.
- Step 3: Complete the Application Form
Fill out the form carefully, ensuring all required fields are completed. Sign the form to confirm your participation.
- Step 4: Gather Required Signatures
Submit the completed form along with the necessary signatures from:- Your Academic Advisor
- Program Director
- Course Instructor (for the course you will support)
- Step 5: Submit to CUBE Office for Final Processing
Return the fully signed form to CUBE Office via email at cube@cmkl.ac.th. The document will be reviewed and processed, and you will receive confirmation once your TA/TI registration is official.
Important Notes
- Grade Submission: While serving as a TA or TI, your performance will be overseen by a full-time faculty member, who is responsible for assigning your grade.
- Professional Conduct: As a TA/TI, you are expected to uphold academic integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Timely Application: Submit your application early or at least 10 working days prior to the TA appointment start date to ensure sufficient time for review and approval. Student is not authorized to work until the request for TA is processed and has been granted.
- International Student: If you are an international student, student is required to request tax identification from the Revenue Department and submit the issued tax ID to CUBE Office.
- TA/TI Compensation: The average hourly pay for a Teaching Assistant (TA) is 200 baht.
